Tractors: 

Even if ignition key is turned, the starter motor doesn't turn / Even if the start button of the smart key is pressed, the starter motor does not work.

Cause Action

Clutch pedal is not depressed.

Depress the clutch pedal.

PTO switch is on.

Turn the PTO switch OFF.

Safety switch has failed.

Repair or replace at a service center.

Battery discharge resulting in a weak charge.

Charge the battery.

One or more battery terminals are loose.

Inspect and clean for loosening, looseness, and corrosion, fix it securely, and apply grease to prevent rust.

Switch has failed.

Repair or replace at a service center.

Starter motor has failed.

Repair or replace at a service center.

Tractors: 

Starter motor turns but engine RPM is low.

Cause Action

Battery has a weak charge.

Charge the battery.

Battery ground strap is faulty.

Clean the terminal and ensure grounding.

Wrong engine oil viscosity has been used.

Replace with engine oil of appropriate viscosity for conditions.

 

Tractors: 

Starter motor turns, but the engine does not start.

Cause Action

There's an air build-up in the fuel system.

Bleed air from fuel system.

Fuel filter is clogged.

Clean or replace the filter.

Fuel is not flowing to engine.

Open the petcock and fill fuel.

Engine body malfunction.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Key stop unit has failed.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Tractors: 

Engine rotation is irregular.

Cause Action

There's air in the fuel line.

Bleed air from fuel system.

Fuel filter is clogged.

Clean or replace the filter

Spray nozzle is clogged.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Fuel is leaking from the pipe system.

Fasten clamps, replace pipe, and attach copper washers after grinding the surface.

Fuel injection is poor.

Visit a service center for repairs.

 

Tractors: 

Engine stops at low RPMs.

Cause Action

Fuel injection is poor.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Engine valve clearance is incorrect.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Idle RPM is too low.

Adjust to regular rotation.

Nozzle is faulty

Visit a service center for repairs.

Tractors: 

Engine idles at higher than normal RPMs.

Cause Action

The governor is clogged with dust, etc.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Engine oil level is too high.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Tractors: 

Engine suddenly stops while driving.

Cause Action

Fuel is low.

Fill fuel and bleed air from fuel line.

Nozzle is faulty.

Repair or replace at the service center.

Engine is seizing due to insufficient engine oil or poor lubrication.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Tractors: 

Engine is overheating.

Cause Action

Coolant is low.

Refill to appropriate level.

Fan belt is loose or damaged.

Adjust belt tension.

Radiator is blocked.

Clean radiator.

Engine oil is low.

Inspect engine oil level and refill to appropriate level.

Tractors: 

Suggest some precautions for winter operation.

Action

Adjust the speed lever to the lowest speed (idle) position.

After the warm-up light goes off, turn the key switch to the "START" position while fully pressing the clutch pedal.

Once the engine starts, run the engine at 1,500 RPM for about 10 minutes.

On Powershuttle tractors, the tractor should stay idle until the "NEUTRAL (N)" light on the instrument panel stops blinking.

If equipped with an oil-water separator fuel filter, remove moisture before starting.

Use winter diesel fuel in severe cold weather.

Tractors: 

Engine's exhaust color is black.

Cause Action

Incorrect fuel has been used.

Fill with the specified fuel.

Fuel tank has been overfilled.

Visit a service center for repairs.

Insufficient nozzle pressure.
